• Kontaktologia i korekcja optyczna u dzieci
• Chirurgia zeza
• Interdyscyplinarna diagnostyka wyrównawczego ustawienia głowy u dzieci i dorosłych
• Społeczne, psychologiczne i neurofunkcjonalne konsekwencje zaburzeń widzenia oraz słabowzroczności

Professor Anna Horwood is Emeritus Professor of Orthoptics and Visual Development at the University of Reading in the UK. She has taught orthoptics since the 1970’s and still works part-time as a clinician. She was the International Strabismological Association Bielschowsky  Lecturer in 2018, and the International Orthoptic Association Burian Lecturer in 2016. Until her retirement from academia in 2021, she worked with Prof Tricia Riddell for over 20 years, researching convergence, accommodation and their linkage.  Her most recent research has concentrated on psychological approaches to accommodation anomalies, and cost-effectiveness of visual screening in children. She was recently awarded an MBE Honour by King Charles III for Services to Orthopics and Research in Visual Development.

Dr. Sara Flodin is a British Swedish registered orthoptist specializing in cyclodeviation. Alongside her research, she works as a specialist clinician within the strabismus team at Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Gothenburg and has extensive clinical experience in pediatric, strabismus, and neuro-ophthalmology clinics. She was the project manager for the Erasmus-funded “EDORTH” project at the University of Gothenburg, which focused on the development of a European Diploma for orthoptists. In addition, she is the course director and program leader for the Scandinavian Orthoptic Program in Gothenburg.

Daisy Godts is senior orthoptist at Antwerp University Hospital, Ophthalmology Department and head of the orthoptic department. Her clinical practice focuses on diagnosis and nonsurgical management of complex-strabismus, neuro-orthoptics, thyroid eye disease, and amblyopia treatment in congenital cataract children.

She directed many courses at national and international meetings and delivered numerous national and international presentations as an invited speaker

She published several articles in international journals

She has trained and mentored orthoptists in Belgium, The Netherlands, India, Congo, Rwanda, Nigeria and Colombia.

She was the former president of the Belgian Orthoptic Association, the president of International Cooperation in the International Orthoptic Association (IOA) and the organizer of the IOA Congress in Antwerp in 2008

February 2025 she was honored with the 2025 Stephenson Honorary Fellow Award (SFHA). This award recognizes exceptional contributions to orthoptics, and her remarkable career exemplifies the values of leadership, research, education, and humanitarian service.
